Temporary Import Permits are issued at the port of entry and we recommend that hunters visiting South Africa utilize the services of Hunters Permits (www.hunterspermitsafrica.co.za) who, for a fee, arrange the permits in advance. This hassle free service streamlines the acquisition of the permits. Please refer to Hunters Permits website for costs. Once issued the permit should be kept with you at all times and needs to be presented upon departure.
Upon arrival at O.R.Tambo Intl Airport a representative of hunters permits will meet you personally at the arrivals hall and will provide you with the necessary documentation as well as assisting you with your next connecting flight to the lodge if necessary.
